Apart from the beaches, however, there is a wealth of other activities to keep you busy.

Shopping in Odessa

If you are the kind of person who loves to shop then Odessa, Ukraine has everything you need to fulfil all your expectations of your Odessa travel experiences. In fact, to get the most out of your shopping experience, make sure you are renting an apartment in Odessa city center. Deribasovskaya Street is the absolute heart of ‘all things shopping’!

At least when you are loaded down with bags you can be back  Business in Ukraine  at your apartment within minutes. In fact, you will have time to offload your bags, have a reviving cuppa and be back in the stores within the hour. Apart from Deribasovskaya Street there are also the large, modern shopping malls such as Athena and the mall at Grecheskaya Ploschad.

Then, of course, there is the established market that belongs to a rich tapestry of clientele and traders, the Privoz Market. Many people enjoy that special ambience only experienced at a market. If that is you, then you cannot possibly spend time in Odessa, Ukraine without allowing yourself a day to browse throughout this very extensive market: you certainly won’t regret it, but remember your purchases need to be limited to your airline’s luggage allowance for your trip home!

Open Spaces

Odessa, Ukraine enjoys the sort of climate that lends itself to wanting to be out of doors. This is especially the case in the summer when gentle breezes provide a welcome relief from the heat of the sun. The air enjoyed by those in Odessa Ukraine has been recognised as a positive health factor due to the cleanliness of the air quality as well as being particularly dry. If you are in the city center it is well worth visiting the City Garden to laze around and catch a few rays.

It is easy to reach, even for those caught up in the thralls of shopping as the main entrance to the City Garden is close to Deribasovskaya Street. Plenty of benches have been scattered about amongst the trees as well as a gazebo in the center and lots of minor paths to meander along.

District of Arcadia

Arcadia really comes into its own during the months of summer. At any other time many of the shops, restaurants and nightclubs are closed, some looking tired and tawdry as they await a fresh coat of paint ready for the next season. There are plenty of sandy beaches alongside the Black Sea. These can get quite busy during the summer, despite the miles of coastline. Those beaches closest to the city are the busiest; the further you go along the coast, the quieter they become. If you don’t fancy getting sand between your toes, head for the private swimming pool towards the end of the boulevard. This pool is the perfect place for families to get together as it is particularly family orientated. There are plenty of for rent that you can find there
